Picea orientalis ‘Skylands’ (Skylands Spruce) is one of my favorite conifers. I’ve had the opportunity to use a number of these over the years. This box of beauty, from Iseli Nursery in Oregon, is destined for installation next month, for one lucky client here in Georgia.
The Nest on Main
Wallace Gardens is pleased to announce a collaborative partnership with The Nest on Main, a home design center offering showroom selections and furnishings for home & garden in Historic Downtown Suwanee, Georgia.
Opening mid-April 2011 by appointment, and to the public on selected days.
Chuck Henderson and Lila Adams of Henderson & Adams, a design build firm, are spear-heading the new venture.
The over 100-year-old building in Historic Suwanee has been renovated and brought back to life, restoring the quirkiness of times past. The front garden will be restored over the summer.
In days gone by, this building has been home to a general store, a wood-working shop, and a bootlegger set-up. We’re bringing it back to life in the 21st Century, sans rum-running.
