Let the Winter Gardens Begin! #PansyFrenzy
Garden in Savannah, Georgia. Photos: Daisy Cottage.
Gloxinia and Pansy
The Matrix cozies up to the Box Honeysuckle for a grape and lemonade snuggle.
The pansy ‘Morpheus’ is one of my favorite winter annuals, with blue-violent and lemon-yellow petals, and distinct violet stripes around the eye. This pansy was so named for the Morpheus Butterfly (photo by Sam Knox on flickr.)
Perfect palette.

It’s not what containers look like when you first assemble them that is important, it’s what they look like six months AFTER you plant them…

…and after they have endured a harsh winter. Then the truth is revealed.

Several weeks of enjoyment (post-winter) - that is when you find out what went into the container last October.
Next week, this will all be replaced with something new that will endure the perils of Atlanta’s heat and humidity throughout the summer.
