The 2010 Christmas Amaryllis experiment in the garden of one of my clients, is blooming now. Amaryllis are not cold-hardy (supposedly) in Zone 7B, but we planted some left over Christmas Amaryllis bulbs into the garden to see if they would over-winter in Georgia, and re-bloom the following spring. And here they are, April 2012! Several of them have buds now, and they are blooming brilliantly next to the Knockout Roses.
