Friends of the Earth. We found this little mole salamander (Ambystoma maculatum) last week when we were planting trees (northern Georgia). He lives near a dry creekbed in the hardwood forest and, fortunately, he still has all his legs and tail in tact - but this little guy has the ability to grow them back if they are “removed” by a predator or an Accidental Gardener.
