Cornell University: Paperwhite Study
Here is a link explaining the alcohol feeding method for Paperwhites. In a nutshell: it reduces the height of the stalks by about a third, so that the plants don’t flop over when they start to bloom.

Drunk Paperwhites?
Well, today the Paperwhites started their diet of alcohol. One very special vase, however, is being fed a diet of Patron Tequila 100% De Agave. Will it make a difference? I don’t know. But I’ll be posting photos, starting this weekend and through December, so we can all find out.
